Safety, transparency, and consideration for surrounding society are the Hanhikivi 1 construction site's main values. We require all contractors and employees working on the site to act responsibly. Site access training introduces you to working on the Hanhikivi 1 -site.
Information of every company and person working on the Hanhikivi 1 construction site is recorded to the Fennovoima's Sitemanager system. The system monitors compliance with the legal requirements for both companies and employees. Simultaneously, we secure that the working conditions of every person working on the construction follow the Finnish collective agreements. The system also allows us to perform real-time inspections on site.
Every person working at the construction site must be contractually employed by a company belonging to a subcontracting chain. In turn, this company must have a signed a piecework contract with another company operating at the construction site. This chain must be unbroken so the employee can receive the Site access card after successfully passing Fennovoima's Site access training course. The personal Site access card entitles the carrier to independently move around, perform work at the construction site, and sign in when entering the site and sign out when exiting. When at the construction site, the card must be kept visible at all times.
In addition to the Site access training, each employee must participate in a site-specific orientation organized by the site's main contractor, which trains the site's procedures and specifics in question. The principle of zero accidents is followed at the construction site. All employees are committed to continuously improving occupational safety and disseminating good practice.
