Hanhikivi 1 is Fennovoima's nuclear power project
Fennovoima, founded in 2007, is Finland’s youngest nuclear power company that builds Hanhikivi 1 nuclear power plant to a greenfield site on Pyhäjoki, Hanhikivi peninsula. When completed, the Hanhikivi 1 nuclear power plant will produce one tenth of Finland’s electricity need.

Fennovoima is owned by Voimaosakeyhtiö SF and RAOS Voima Oy. Fennovoima is the owner of the Hanhikivi 1 project and will become the operator of the finished power plant. Fennovoima has purchased the nuclear power plant as a turnkey delivery from the plant supplier RAOS Project Oy. Titan-2 is the main building contractor and is in charge of construction of the Hanhikivi 1 nuclear power plant.
Hanhikivi 1 project involves both industrial companies and local energy companies that are significant to the Finnish economy.
